Trump Supporters Threaten To Do To American Muslims What Hitler Did To German Jews

Letter to California Mosques

Supporters of Donald Trump complain that it’s just not polite to compare Trump to Adolf Hitler. They say that such comparisons should be placed beyond the limits of acceptable political discussion.

I agree. It should be beyond the limits of political to comment that the President Elect has some unsettling similarities to the Nazi Fuhrer. Unfortunately, the actions of Donald Trump and his fanatic supporters have made it not only reasonable, but necessary for Americans to talk about whether Trump is leading toward a destination like the German Third Reich.

Why are people comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler? Part of it is the way that members of pro-Trump groups like the National Policy Institute, while meeting in a federal building in Washington D.C., erupt into shouts of “Hail Trump! Sieg Heil!” while raising their arms into stiff Nazi salutes.

Alt Right Nazis

People compare Trump to Hitler because of Nazi actions like the letters sent to mosques across California, declaring:

“To the children of Satan, you Muslims are a vile and filthy people. Your mothers are whores and your fathers are dogs. You are evil. You worship the devil. But your day of reckoning has arrived.

There’s a new sheriff in town – President Donald Trump. He’s going to cleanse America and make it shine again. And he’s going to start with you Muslims. He’s going to do to you Muslims what Hitler did to the Jews. You Muslims would be wise to pack your bags and get out of Dodge.

This is a great time for patriotic Americans. Love live President Trump and God bless the USA.”

The irony is that Trump voters complain that the mere mention of the similarities between Trump and Hitler should be forbidden, but then turn around and whine about “political correctness” when people ask them to please stop calling fellow Americans things like “nigger”, “camel jockey”, or “wetback”.

It is time for Americans to speak frankly – about the fascist threat being created, not just by Donald Trump and his white supremacist aides in the White House, but by rank and file Trump voters as well.
